Oranges, Tangerines And Grapefruit, Oh My!

While I won’t reveal my age, I am not quite old enough to have received an orange in my Christmas stocking, but I have heard tales from my parents. Even though when I was a child this wasn’t the “thing” to do, for nostalgic reasons, my parents would always put out a bowl of holiday citrus fruit on the coffee table for everyone to enjoy. Perhaps you do the same thing. Are you thinking about giving a holiday citrus gift? It’s a lovely gift for people of all ages, but particularly baby boomers. You certainly won’t have to break your piggy bank to send a citrus fruit gift basket. You can easily find gifts under $50. Of course, if you prefer to spoil your friend or family member with a citrus fruit gift, you could always go with a fruit of the month club. Usually you can purchase from 1-12 months and even preview what fruits will be sent. And if you shop around, you can often get good specials and free shipping! If you visit the merchants we suggest on our Fruit Gifts page (http://www.gourmet-food-gifts.com/fruit-gifts.htm), I’m sure you won’t be disappointed by the selection, quality and prices they offer. Keep in mind however, if you’re shopping out of a fruit’s season, you may not find what you’re looking for as these stores only ship the freshest specimens available. And don’t forget – these holiday citrus gifts are a healthy gift too; which in my opinion is one of the best ways to show you care. Happy shopping!
