Later the precinct gave the name to the tournament. Roland Garrós has become one of the sports events that can be proud of an excellent international projection. Since the start of the tournament champions with a great importance like Rod Laver, Bjorn Borg, Manuel Santana, Fred Perry and Ilie Nastase have played in the stadium.
