Any fast food brand will work. I also have caught a channel cat with left over pizza dough. Tips I have been told about for bait include chunks of uncooked pork links. The person had this on the hook when a huge fish hit and during the struggle broke the pole. They never saw the fish so it could have been a carp or catfish. The same person said try deep frying chuncks of Spam. It wll stay on the hook much better that way. I have also been told that a mixture of wheaties,ground beef and limburger cheese is a good bait for both carp, blues and channel cats. Thes baits can help you out in a pinch when no bait shops are open near your fishing hole. Tight lines to all.
